LONDON
The 106th Annual meeting of the Association of Physicians of Great Britain & Ireland will be held on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd March 2012 at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, where the presentations for the scientific meeting (oral and poster sessions) will be held. A Reception will take place on Thursday evening, followed by The Annual Dinner (black tie) at Apothecaries’ Hall. Prior to the meeting delegates will be sent information on local pubs and restaurants so those who do not wish to attend the social evenings may meet elsewhere in a congenial atmosphere.

By Air
Heathrow
London Heathrow Airport (LHR) is one of the world’s busiest airports, handling more international passengers than any other. The airport is located 32 km (20 miles) west of London and has excellent public transport connections. Express trains connect passengers to central London in 15 minutes.
Gatwick
London Gatwick (LGW) is the second largest airport in the UK after Heathrow. Gatwick is located 45km (28 miles) south of London. Rail connections into central London take around 30 minutes.
By Train
London is the hub of the UK’s rail network, with frequent services to all regions from the city’s centrally-located mainline railway stations. Rail services in the UK are run by a number of private train operating companies.

Travelling via “the Underground”
St Paul’s (central line) or Barbican (Hammersmith & City, Circle and Metropolitan lines) are the most convenient underground stations.
